High School Fellowship Program

As PAGE participants go through High School, they will be eligible for more learning, growth, and mentoring experiences. All High School students are invited to attend our regular After-School sessions in the Fall and Spring--with one day of programming just for them--as well as our Summer Program in July, which culminates in a College Immersion Field Trip.

Our High School Fellowship Program is a special opportunity that empowers young women to achieve their full potential and desired futures. Each year we admit 5-6 advanced students to serve as Fellows with the support of the Violet Kimmerly Scholarship Fund.

We are proud in PAGE’s second decade to offer a deeper and more rigorous High School Fellowship Program that can support more young women.

Our High School Fellows benefit from:

  • An engaging Documentary Arts Program led by PAGE's Communications Specialist, Ryn McCall. During the Summer Program, fellows will complete a photo and writing-based project that teaches them the essentials of photography and allows them to practice unique forms of visual storytelling.
  • A comprehensive Future Pathways Program led by PAGE Coordinator, Dr. Cathryn Hughes-Barnett, that focuses on higher education and career readiness, professional development, financial literacy and team building.
  • Mentorship & Internship: each Fellow will be paired with a professional mentor who will help them develop a unique, individually-crafted internship experience. Fellows will gain hands-on professional training in a field of their choice with the support of their Mentor.
  • Fellows Application Period: Due by Monday, April 14th, 2025.

As a PAGE girl since the very beginning, I have been given many opportunities such as touring Duke University and UNC – Chapel Hill, two amazing colleges. I was given the opportunity to stay in a dorm at Davidson College, which really helped me put into perspective what college life would be like.

PAGE has taught me what greatness arises from pursuing a higher education. I looked at the College Interns and decided that I wanted to be like them.

I’m happy to say that I will be part of UNC Chapel Hill’s Class of 2024.
