Digital Stories

Girls entering PAGE in 7th grade begin their experience by creating digital story projects. With our 5:1 teaching ratio, even our youngest participants are able to create advanced digital learning projects that would seem daunting to most adults. Close support from our staff and college team and expert guidance from StoryCenter project facilitators allow girls to gain new technology skills and self-confidence through an empowering learning process.

Each summer and across the academic year, we bring together members of the community to celebrate our students’ learning in PAGE’s Digital Lab. Parents, grandparents, and other family members join friends and supporters of PAGE, community members, and special guests to celebrate the ways that innovative education can inspire and empower girls.

We invite you to experience for yourself the digital stories created by Madison County girls. These projects take you on a journey inside the lives of girls growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains and cast some of the time-honored things they have inherited – home, family, their beautiful farms and mountains – in a new form for today’s digitally connected world.
