Marvin Lowe: School Years at Spring Creek

Marvin Lowe

This is Marvin Lowe standing in front of the Spring Creek Community Center. We interviewed him on June 18th, 2019. Mr. Lowe was born in 1927. He talked to us about his time in Spring Creek. He told us some funny stories about being a student, but also talked about his many moves around the country. He wanted us to know how much he loves Madison County.

This is the actual Spring Creek. It is very close to the school building. We got to walk around it, throwing stones and looking for fish, when we weren’t interviewing Mr. Lowe.

Here is Marvin Lowe’s graduation picture. He graduated in 1947.

This is Marvin Lowe’s cane that he made himself. It is very beautiful and useful.

This is the Spring Creek Community Center, formerly the Spring Creek School. We spent an entire week here while interviewing people and exploring the area. Thank you Mr. Marvin Lowe and your family for sharing your school adventures with us.

Listen to Marvin's Spring Creek School memories, captured by PAGE girls:
